Montana!

The last week of July Jon and I headed off to Montana with many of our awesome friends! We left Pine Cove and went to Fort Worth for one night to celebrate Ryan's 40th birthday. We had a great time seeing the McCarthys, Westerfields, T, and Mrs. Cheryl. We went spent the afternoon with T, went to a nice dinner with the McCarthys and Westerfields, and then spent the night with Mrs. Cheryl.

Here are some shots from dinner-

The next morning Jon dropped the kids and I off at the airport to fly to Denver. Jon headed home. My parents met us in Denver and took the kids with them up to the mountains and I spent the night by myself in Denver! It was awesome!

I met Jon and all of our friends in the airport in Denver the next day and we all flew off to Montana. We had a wonderful time in Whitefish. Montana is beautiful. We laughed a lot with all of our friends. We went on a old fashioned bus tour of Glacier National Park. We hung out at the camp where we were staying a lot! We also spent some time at the City of Whitefish Beach. The weather was perfect! Crisp and Cool- totally unlike Texas this time of year.

We also took a few silly pictures!

On the way home we were supposed to drive to Spokane, fly to Denver and then fly to Austin. My parents were going to meet us in the airport in Denver at our gate with our three kiddos. We left Spokane on time and then while we were in the air, they closed the Denver airport due to bad weather. We got rerouted to Grand Junction, Colorado. We sat on the runway there for 3 hours! Which if you have to be stuck on a plane on the tarmac for 3 hours, we discovered it is way more fun when you are on the plane with 40 of your friends!

We finally got to the Denver airport at 11pm! My parents had been in the airport with our 3 kids for SEVEN HOURS!!! We immediately boarded our next flight only to find that it had been oversold and someone was in my seat who wouldn't move, even though I had kids with me! Annalise, Noah, and I had to get off the plane and I begged my way back on, Whew! We got home at 4am! Our kids were rock star travelers! And, they had an amazing time in the mountains with my parents.

They rode the gondola, went "hiking", pretended to be Wild Kratts at the Beaver Creek Nature Center, went white water rafting (EVEN ELLIOT!), played putt putt, did the jumping thing, ice skated, and went to the museum in Denver.
