Chipotle Pilgrimage

While in Denver, Jon and I went on a pilgrimage to the first and original Chipotle, on Evans street near the University of Denver. Anyone who has spent time with Jon knows how much he LOVES Chipotle and how frequently he eats there. He was very excited for this lunch, so excited that he decided to live Tweet it.

So, here it is, our visit to Chipotle as told by Jon's Tweets:

@jonsby Me at the ORIGINAL Chipotle! I just may have to live tweet this. #atthemothership @chipotletweets

@jonsby See how happy it is in here!

@jonsby A tasty burrito with original Chipotle powers!

@jonsby In this wonderful place, even the dogs eat Chipotle!
(Side note- this lady actually left the restaurant to go outside and feed her dog part of her burrito bowl! We were laughing so hard.)

@jonsby Free shirts for true believer and pilgrims. Thank you! @chipotletweets

@jonsby Clowns in tiny cars, it just keeps getting better!

(Side note- two clowns pulled up and got out of that tiny Smart Car right outside of the restaurant while we were eating. Sadly, they foolishly chose another restaurant for lunch.)

@jonsby Cleaning my Tobasco bottle to top it all off-
(Anyone who regularly eats with Jon at Chipotle knows that he HAS to clean the bottle before he can leave.)

@jonsby Thank you Esperanza and crew for a memorable lunch!
(She might have thought we were a little nuts with all of the picture taking and such...)

We had such a fun tasty lunch. The tshirts they gave us are awesome, a cool design and they are soft and make from good fabric. If any die-hard Chipotle fans who read this are ever in Denver, we highly recommend a visit.

Mountain Vacation

Last week Jon and I went to the mountains with out kids!

We rode bikes, a lot! It was so fun. But sometimes really hard going up hill. I'm a weakling!
Here I am wimping out and pushing my bike uphill-

We ran into a dear friend-
And some deer friends, haha!

It snowed! Not too exciting for the real Colorado people who live there, but always super fun for us Texans-

Stay tuned for pictures from our pilgrimage to the first/original Chipotle!

Officially a Dansby

Great News!

Elliot is officially a Dansby. We went appeared before a judge in Dallas on October 3rd to finalize his adoption.

We drove to Dallas on October 2nd and spent the night in a hotel because we had to be at the courthouse early on the 3rd. My parents stayed at the same hotel and even let Annalise and Noah have a sleepover in their room! Thomas and Amy drove over from Fort Worth on the morning of the 3rd and met us at the courthouse.

Here we are killing some time before our turn to see the judge-

 The men-
Elliot doing some exploring-

Here we are, officially a family of 5!

And I LOVE this picture! Everyone is looking at the camera.
My parents, our family, Thomas and Amy, and the judge.
What a happy day! Glory to God!

Mr. Mischief

Elliot is into EVERYTHING these days! He is into all kinds of mischief, always exploring and looking for new things to discover.

Here are some of his latest adventures-

The doggie door, this the first time he noticed it-
The pantry. He always wants to empty the shelves!

 Eating BBQ ribs-
 Climbing under the stroller-
More doggie door- now he has figured out how to push the flap open and hang his head and arms out of the door.

DRUMS! This is a terrible picture but he LOVES when Annalise plays her drumset we got her for her birthday. He is always trying to pull up on the drums. Here he is getting a lesson from Daddy.

Bowling!

At the end of the summer we took the kids bowling. Elliot slept in the stroller the whole time and the big kids had a blast! They used bumpers for their turns. And... Annalise BEAT ME! Granted, she was using bumpers but I am a seriously terrible bowler!

Here are some pictures of our bowling adventure-

Please notice how they spelled Noah- "Noua??? And, notice the scores, Annalise beat me!!!

"I'm Tony!"

For some reason, Noah really likes to be called Tony these days. He is so funny! I'm not sure where that name came from, but he loves it. He is still our hardest child to parent right now. He is still SUPER sweet.

Here are a bunch of funny pics of Noah being Noah from the past few weeks-

He insists on wearing his undies backwards, so he can see the picture better!

We're Old! We Bought a Minivan...

A couple of weeks ago we bit the bullet and bought a minivan. Three kids in car seats across the back seat of our old car was getting so tedious, especially because I was having to lift Elliot over Annalise's lap into his car seat which was in the middle seat of the car.

Elliot went with us to buy the van. He was quite well behaved and very darling while we hung out in the dealership. Here he is hanging out in the back on the van that was in the showroom.

Here are Annalise and Noah checking out the car when I brought it home-

Minivans may have a bad reputation, but having all of the extra space and seats has just been awesome!
PS- The built in DVD player is also SUPER awesome!!! Annalise and Noah look so cute in their big headphones. Even cuter- they call the headphones "Ear Gloves" for some reason.
