NYE 2013

We had an exciting New Years Eve this year!

We began our morning with Elliot have surgery. He had his adenoids removed and was a champ! His surgery was at 10am and he was ready to party by 5:30pm after a long afternoon nap. He recovered so quickly from the surgery- hardly any pain medication was needed at all AND the best part is the surgery seems to have really helped him. He has had an incredibly stuffy nose, been a loud mouth breather and drooler, and has had lots of nasal infections. The surgery seems to have relieved much of those problems and was $0 because we had met our deductible and out-of-pocket maximum for the year!

Here he is hanging in the waiting room-

Here he is in his cute little gown, ready to go back-

He ate lunch and took a very long nap when we got home. After his nap we met up with our neighbors for some NYE fun! We had a progressive dinner followed by lots of kid friendly fireworks.

Bundled up and ready to go!

Crazy kids doing Just Dance!

Elliot LOVED the fireworks! This was the first time he had ever seen them- he went to bed early on the 4th of July.

Annalise was pretty cold and miserable when we were doing the fireworks. She said it was NOT fun.

2013 was a great year for us! We had 2 sets of stitches and one set of staples for Elliot, superglue for Annalise, adenoid surgery and finger surgery for Elliot, a trip to the ER for Noah because he couldn't breathe, surgery and an upper GI for me, a family trip to Florida to see Jon's family, a trip to Montana with wonderful friends for Jon and I, a family trip to Pine Cove, a trip to the beach for Jon and I alone, an incredible year with our Community group, starting kindergarten for Annalise, starting Pre-K for Noah, and starting preschool for Elliot, lots of fun time with our families, and TONS of laughs and fun with our kiddos!

We are looking forward to another wonderful year where we know God will continue to make His name great in our hearts, our neighborhood and our great city.

Christmas Fun!

We had a great Christmas break. It was a nice break from early school mornings and packing lunches AND we had tons of fun!

My parents came for a few days-
So did T.Amy and Hugo-

We did lots of playing-

 Presents!

Sweet Treats and a Birthday Cake for Jesus!

My favorite part of the break were all of the sweet little Christmas things the kids did around the house-

An ornament Annalise made "Baby Jesus, Yes"
 Sweet little homemade presents-

Fun in Waco!

I let Annalise skip school one day a couple of weeks ago and surprised her and the boys with a trip to the children's museum in Waco where we met the Westerfields!

We had a super fun day.

Here are Annalise and Grayson driving. Scary to think that in 10 years, this will really be happening!!!

Here is Elliot, making an important call on the walkie-talkie.

Noah and Elliot looking cute-

All the kids at the bear pit. They had fun running wild on the Baylor campus!

A Visit with Santa!

We stopped by to see Santa while we were in The Woodlands over Thanksgiving. The kids were very excited.

Elliot was a little nervous about sitting on Santa's lap. You can see his face looked a little distressed. But, he didn't scream and cry!

Here are the kids last year seeing Santa. I cannot believe how BIG Elliot has gotten. I think it looks like he has doubled in size in the last year.

We don't go to the mall much here in Austin. The kids were super impressed with the manicans.  Apparently we need to get out more!

Noah carried this guy around much of the week-

Here are the kiddos watching for Santas arrival during the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. They were excited!!!
